Why did we develop the KonVis REST API Log modul?

When you are working with Magento API this is just needed. You can't do debugging or development of Magento API Functions without a propper log. In multiple API projects we had the situation that we needed to log the API Calls to be able to go forward. You just need to know how a calls realy looked like to be able to fix mapping issues or other problems.

This module solves this issue. It allows developer and none developer easily to keep an eye on possible problems. You can directly see the content of the API Message.

What are the functions of the modul?

The functions

Hide sensitive Data
REST API Logger - Listing View

The core function of the module is to log the API Calls to a magento table. The API Messages are logged and shown in a easy to understand admin interface.

The listing is added at Reports > REST API Log > Listing. This Listing very powerfull. It allows you do filter the requests, configure the columns and do Export to XML/CSV.

The module doesn't store the body of the authorization request. In this case, it will display "Authorization request. Body was not stored." in the body column. Moreover, when the "Authorization" header is passed, it hashes its value so sensitive Data is not shown here.

The configuration is available at Configuration > Konvis > REST API Logger. There you can define if Logs should automatically deleted based on Cron job to avoid huge table sizes. It can be defined after how many days it should get deleted and when the Cron Job should run.
